Baking up a Storm in Elementary Options!

Last week in Food Basics, elementary students in Grade 4 and 5 worked together on a fun education project - baking cookies! This hands-on activity not only taught them about measuring ingredients, reading recipes and following directions, but also highlighted the importance of teamwork.

Each group saw students taking on different roles, from mixing the dough to scooping it onto baking sheets. They learned that working together makes things easier - and more fun! The smell of freshly baked cookies filled our Foods Lab, and the students couldn't wait to taste their creations.

By the end of the class, everyone was proud of their hard work, and excited to share the cookies with their classmates. This sweet lesson in cooperation and practical skills was a hit!
